How do I breed out the impurities of my khaki Campbell ducks. Unsure of what breed is in them but they aren’t pure at least I don’t think so

Here is a picture
Are they indeed pure bred khaki Campbell’s

An here’s is there mother an father

I’d recommend you get a book about duck colour genetics so you can get an understanding of what you need in KCs and what you appear to have in your ducks. I’d recommend Colour Breeding in Domestic Ducks: https://www.amazon.com/Colour-Breeding- ... 0955564204

If they have any spots or stripes on them they’re not pure bred. The two larger ones aren’t purebred. The two smaller ones look closer to what you’re after, but it’s hard to tell from that angle. Do you have any pictures taken from the side?

Breeding isn’t just about colour though, it’s also about type or shape. To tell how close they are to a purebred shape you’d have to wait till they’re fully grown in a few months.

Khaki Campbells are most well known for their phenomenal laying ability. This could also take quite a bit of work to recover.
