Our oldest chook, a Rhode Island Red, who was at least 2 years old when we got her in 2010, which makes her at least 10, and hasn't laid for more than 3 years, laid an egg yesterday!

After years of wandering around with a stunted pink comb, she has developed a big red comb and fluffy bottom. Bizarre, must be climate change.

She was so out of practice that she laid it in the middle of the chook run.

That’s a bit of an achievement!
