My elderly bantam australorp has had her wattle swell alarmingly over the past few days. At the beginning of last week it was normal, photo for current. Has anyone any idea what could have caused this, it has increased in size daily. She is still eating, drinking, etc normally, owing to her advanced age and over a week of 40+ degree temperatures I would not have expected eggs from her.

I cannot attach a photo to this board. http://gallery.backyardpoultry.com/memb ... attle.html

Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached. Is the message I receive when I try to add a photo to the post.

Hmmm....could be an infection or a bite perhaps. What does it feel like?
