I know it’s really hard to tell at this age, but I’m wondering if one of my new chicks is a Golden Wyandotte roo? I bought 3 sexed RR pullets and 3 straight runs from TSC. The one in question is quite a bit larger so that may be why he or she is naturally bossy to the others but they all seem to spar and stand tall like Roos so I’m lost.

Well, the black one is definitely a couple of weeks older than the red one. To tell the sex at this stage you’d need advice from someone who is very experienced with Wyandotte chicks, and they’d probably look at the comb to get an idea of sex. Other than that I think you’re going to have to wait a bit for them to get older and show more visible signs of sex. As far as breed goes, yes, looks like a Gold Laced Wyandotte.
