Hi,
I am using an incubator for the first time. I'm nearing the end of the incubation period (due early next week) and have a couple of questions.

First, I've seen conflicting dates for lockdown. Some places have said day 18 and some 19. What one should I go by.

Also, I put eggs in on 2 consecutive days. On Monday 22nd I added the silkie eggs and the next day I was lucky enough to get some sussex eggs and added them. When I go into lockdown should I do it on the silkies due date and lock the other eggs down a day early or leave the silkies a day later and lock them in on the sussex day.

I have a Janoel24 incubator that auto turns.

Thank you for reading!
Ellie

Do it on Day 18 of the Silkies due date. Having it a day early for the Sussex eggs wont hurt them at all :)

Also, you count Day 1 as the day after you put the eggs in the incubator. So Day 18 means they’ve been in the incubator for 18 x 24hours.
